Stamps on Sheffield Shield Centenary -Australia 1992.
The Inter-State Cricket trophy in Australia is called the Sheffield Shield named after Lord Sheffield. He donated 150 pounds during 1891 English Tour of Australia to promote Cricket in Australia. It started in 1892-93 with Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia competing for the shield. Queensland joined in 1926- Western Australia in 1947-48 and Tasmania in1977-78.
