TB Seals of India – The Tuberculosis Association of India has been releasing TB seals since 1950 to raise funds for the prevention of Tuberculosis. Every year on 02 Oct TB Seals are released by the President of India and Campaign continues till 23 Feb (Foundation day of TB Association) of next year.
1978-1982- TB Seal sold for 20 Paise 1983-1984 -TB Seal sold for 25 Paise
1985-1990 -TB Seal sold for 50 Paise 1991-1997 -TB Seal sold for Rupee One.
The Theme for the 1982 TB seal (20 Paise) Campaign was Robert Koch. Heinrich Hermann Robert Koch (1843-1910) was a German Physician and Microbiologist. He identified the main causative agents for TB, Cholera & Anthrax. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1905 for his research on Tuberculosis.
