Thailand Postcards – EURO 2012 Souvenir Postcards
The 2012 EURO Cup was hosted by Poland & Ukraine from 08 Jun to 01 July 2012. It was the 14th edition of EURO Cup, the first being in 1960.
Thailand Post planned to issue 210 million Lucky-draw Postcards of Two Baht each asking Soccer fans to guess who will win the final of 2012 EURO Cup. It offered 40 million Baht in prize money in a joint campaign with a local mass-circulation local daily newspaper.
There were 16 different Postcard in the set. . Two postcards were blank to predict the 2012 Winners. Each of the 13 Postcards was unique as they featured the Winner Country’s name, Flag and Year of winning theEURO Cup.
1984- Hosted by France. France beat Spain 2-0 to win the 1984 EURO Championships. Denmark and Portugal shared third place.
1988- Hosted by West Germany. The Netherlands beat USSR 2-0 to win the 1988 EURO Championships. Italy & West Germany shared third place.
1992- Hosted by Sweden. Denmark beat Germany 2-0 to win the 1992 EURO Championships. The Netherlands & Sweden shared third place.
