South Korea issued a set of four stamps on the traditional cuisine desserts on 15 Jun 2002
The Cuisine featured on stamps are
190 won – Jeolpyeon- Traditional rice cake (tteok) made from non-glutinous rice flour. It pounded into a dough and divided into small pieces and pattened.
190 won – Sirutteok – Traditional Korean Rice Cake (tteok)made by steaming rice or glutinous rice flour in a siru (large earthernware vessel) which gives it its name. It is perhaps oldest form of tteok in Korean History.
190 won – Injeolmi – Traditional Korean Rice Cake (tteok)made by steaming rice or glutinous rice flour which is shaped into small pieces and covered with powdered dried beans.
190 won Songpyeon- Traditional Korean rice cake made of rice powder. Eaten during Korean Autumn Harvest Festival Called Chuseok. Songpyeon is half moon shaped rice cake.
