2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup – New Zealand
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be jointly hosted by Australia & New Zealand from 20th July to 20th August 2023. It will be Ninth edition of Women’s World Cup. 32 teams from across the globe will participate. The Opening patch will be played between New Zealand and Norway at Eden Park , Auckland and the Final will be played on 20th Aug 2023 at Sydney Olympic Stadium , Australia.
Five cities and Six stadiums (Sydney 2 stadiums, Brisbane , Perth , Melbourne & Adelaide) in Australia and Four Cities and stadiums (Auckland , Dunedin , Hamilton & Wellington ) in New Zealand will host the matches. USA is the defending Champion having won the previous two editions in 2019 and 2015.
New Zealand issued a Miniature Sheet containing two stamps ( $3.30 & $4.00) on 05 July 2023 to celebrate the excitement behind the event.
