The Saviour of Naushera – Naik Jadunath Singh – Param Vir Chakra 06 Feb 1948.

Jadunath Singh was born in 1916 at Village Khajuri,Tehsil Jalalabad , District Shahjahanpur of Uttar Pradesh in a Peasant Rajput Family. He joined the Army as a Soldier during Second World War. In 1943 after completing his training he was posted to First Battalion of the 7th Rajput Regiment (NOW 4 Guards (1Rajput)). His story of Valour at Taindhar in Naushera in 1948 is written in Golden letters in the Battalion and Nation’s history.

In 1948 Naik Jadunath Singh made the supreme sacrifice at Taindhar on 06 Feb 1948 and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra , Nation’s Highest Gallantry Award. This Day is celebrated as Taindhar Day and his Battalion was awarded the Battle Honour. We are commemorating 76th Anniversary of his Martyrdom on 06 Feb 2024.
