India enters a New Phase of Space Exploration – Special Covers India 2025.

The President of India presented the Nation’s Highest Peacetime Military Decoration Ashoka Chakra to Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force on 26th Jan 2026 during the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. He is the First Indian Astronaut at ISS and the second Indian to go to Space.

He was born in Lucknow and had his schooling in City Montessori School. A Special Cover was released on 25 Aug 2025 at Lucknow on the Theme India enters a New Phase of Space Exploration. It marked Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s Axiom Mission 4 to ISS.
