A Special Cancellation was provided by Karnataka Postal Circle on 24th Mar 2026 to commemorate World TB Day.

World Tuberculosis (TB) Day is observed every year on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social, and economic impact of tuberculosis and to step up global efforts to end the disease. The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch announced his discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes TB — a breakthrough that paved the way for diagnosis and treatment of the disease. The theme for World TB Day 2026 is “Yes! We can end TB!”, under the slogan “Led by countries. Powered by people.”
This message, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO), emphasizes hope and action — that with strong leadership, investment, innovation, and collaboration, eliminating TB is achievable
