Bangladesh gained Independence from Pakistan in 1971 and one of the First Aerogrammes to be used by Bangladesh was a 30 Paisa Pakistan Aerogramme overprinted Bangladesh in English and Bengali. It has a Philatelic Bureau Dacca postmark of 23 Feb 1972. The stamp design of aerogramme features an aircraft.
Bangladesh issued a Two Taka envelope on 29 Jul 1992. It carried the logo of Banglapex 92 in green on top left and a Slogan in Bengali “Join National Philatelic Exhibition”.There were slogans in English also “Participate in the National Stamp Exhibition”. The stamp features the National Monument of Bangladesh (Jatiyo Smriti Shoudho) located at Savar and opened in 1982.
