It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and Great Living Chola Temples. A great tourist destination for all.

She came to India in 1929 and spent the rest of life in India looking after the poor and destitute. She was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Peace award in 1962 and Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She was canonised on 04 Sep 2016.
