Stamp on Marshal of The Indian Air Force Arjan Singh – India 2019.

India Post issued a Stamp on Marshal of The Indian Air Force Arjan Singh on 09 Oct 2019.  Marshal of The Indian AirForce Arjan Singh  DFC (15 Apr 1919-17 Sep 2017) was Chief of Air Force Staff from 1964-1969. He led Indian Air Force during 1965 War. in 1943 as acting Squadron Leader became Commanding officer of No 1 Squadron which took part in Arakan Campaign in Myanmar and he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

He was promoted to the rank of Air Chief Marshal and became the First IAF Chief to hold this rank, awarded Padma Vibhusan in 1966 and promoted to the rank of Marshal of The Indian Air Force in 2002.

India Post released a set of Four stamps and two Miniature sheets on 01 Aug 2019.The stamps were also released during Singpex 2019 at Singapore. All stamps are of Rupees 25 denomination.

Jasmine – is one of the oldest known and most widely used botanical scents and a popular household perfume. It is also known as Juhi. It is also known as King of Oils. Two stamps were issued which are scented stamps.

Sandalwood – Aromatic wood which retains its fragrance for decades. sandalwood oil is extracted from wood. Both oil and wood produce distinctive fragrance. The stamps are also scented.

IPPB is a seminal part of an objective to promote financial inclusion of the weakest and least accessed segments of the country.

India Post issued a Rupees Five denomination stamp on 30 Jan 2019. The stamps have been printed by Wet offset process at Security Printing Press Hyderabad. The Print quantity is 5.0 Lakhs (500,000). A FDC is listed.
