Stamps of Brunei – 50th Anniversary INTERPOL 1973.
INTERPOL -The International Criminal Police Organisation is the International Organisation that facilitates International Police Co-operation. It is based in Lyon, France. It was raised in 1923 and has 181 member countries. Its motto is “Connecting Police for a Safer World”.
Brunei issued two stamps on 07 Sep 1973 to commemorate 50th Anniversary of INTERPOL. The Stamps feature INTERPOL headquarters & Sultan of Brunei. A FDC is listed.
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer- Churchill was a British Statesman, Army officer & Writer who was Prime Minister of United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. He Led Britain to Victory in Second World War.
The Churchill Memorial Museum was opened in Brunei in 1973 but was demolished to make way for the Royal Regalia Building in 1991.
A Set of two stamps was issued by Brunei on 31 Dec 1973 on Churchill Memorial building. The 12 sen stamp shows Churchill painting outdoors and in 50Sen stamp he is making a Victory “V” sign.
