Japan issued two se-tenant stamps on Standing beauties from Edo or Tokugawa Period (1603-1863). They belong to the Kaigetsudo School. The shogunate was officially established in Edo on 24 Mar 1603 by Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Japan issued a stamp on 14 Jun 1968 to celebrate the centenary of Hokkaido. It is the northernmost of Japan’s main islands known for its Volcanoes, natural hot springs, and ski areas. Today is the eight most populous Japanese prefecture.
