Mt Pinatobu is an active stratovolcano in Zambales mountains located in Luzon in the Philippines. It erupted on 15 Jun 1991 and thousands of people were evacuated. This eruption killed 800 people and rendered thousands homeless. A fund was created for the victims of a volcanic eruption.

Stamps were issued on 16 Nov 1992 and overprinted Mt Pinatobu Fund.

The 2005 South East Asian Games or 23rd SEA Games were held in Manila Philippines from 27 Nov to 05 Dec 2005. About 5,300 athletes from 11 countries took part in 443 events in 40 Sports. The Philippines led the medals tally.
