Stamps on Sir Donald Bradman -Australia
Sir Donald George Bradman AC (27 Aug 1908 – 25 Feb 2001 ) was an Australian International Cricketer, widely acknowledged as the World’s Greatest Cricketer of all times. He played 52 test matches and had an incredible batting average of 99.94. He scored 29 Centuries which remained a World record before Sunil Gavaskar scored his 30th Test Century in Chennai on 28 Dec 1983 against West Indies.
Australia issued a set of two 45c stamps on Sir Bradman on 23 Jan 1997. It was issued under Australian Legend Series to mark Australia Day.

Sir Donald Bradman passed away on 25 Feb 2001 and same two 45c stamps were issued on 13 Mar 2001 as commemoration issue but inscribed with his years of Birth and Death.
