Tashichho Dzong is a Buddhist monastery and fortress on the northern edge of the City of Thimpu in Bhutan on the western banks of Wang Chu river. It has been the seat of  Bhutan’s Government since 1968 and presently houses the Throne room and offices of King, The Cabinet Secretariat and ministries of home affairs and finance. Other Government offices are housed in buildings south of Dzong.
