A set of 16 stamps was issued by India Post on Headgears of India on 10 Feb 2017.These headgears from different parts of the country signify social ,cultural and community values. A set of 16 Souvenir covers issued by India Post on these 16 types of Headgears are listed.

Rajasthani Turban : Rajasthan is known for exhibiting wide diversity .One gets to see different styles of turbans from one city to another .In Rajasthan the turban is known as Pagdi or Safa.There are certain parts in Rajasthan where the size of turban is evocatitve to the position and status of the person in society.
