Malaysia issued a set of stamps on roses on 22 Feb 2003. A miniature sheet with two stamps on roses was issued. The rose varieties on miniature sheet were Rosa Centifolia and Floribunda Miniature.

Rosa Centifolia – It is also known as Indian Cabbage rose or Provence rose or Rose de Mai developed by Dutch rose breeders in the period between 17th and 19th Century. Its parentage possibly includes rosa damascena but it may be a complex hybrid. It is a deciduous shrub growing to 1.5m and flowers from Jun to July and seeds ripen from Aug to Nov.

Miniature Floribunda – Floribunda (Latin meaning Many flowering )is a modern group of garden Roses that was developed by crossing hybrid teas with Polyantha roses.
