Pre Stamped Envelope – Antonio Stradivari – San Marino 1987
Antonio Stradivari (1644-1737 ) was n Italian luthier and a crafter of string instruments such as violins , cellos, guitars , violas & harps. It is estimated that Stradivari produced 1116 instruments ,960 of which were violins.Around 650 instruments survived including 450 to 512 violins.
A Pre Stamped Envelope was issued by San Marino in 1987 to mark 250th Death Anniversary of Stradivari. The Stamp Design on the envelope depicts a beautiful Violin.
