Stamps on Kazi Nazrul Islam – Pakistan ,Bangladesh & India
Kazi Nazrul Islam (25 May 1899-29 Aug 1976) was a revolutionary Poet of Bengal .He was born in Churulia in Bengal (India).He composed nearly 3000 songs. He Shot to fame through All India Radio Calcutta . He was awarded Padma Bhusan by Government of India . After formation Bangladesh he moved to Bangladesh in 1972 and breathed his last in 1976. He was National Poet of Bangladesh and conferred the award of “Ekusey Padak” by Government of Bangladesh.
Pakistan honoured him by issuing a set of two stamps during his lifetime on his 69th Birth Anniversary on 25 Jun 1968.

Bangladesh issued a set of two stamps on his first Death Anniversary on 29 Aug 1977.

Bangladesh issued a stamp on his Birth Centenary on 31 Dec 1998.

India issued a stamp on his Birth centenary on 14 Sep 1999.
