UPU 125 Years -Stamps of Switzerland -1999

UPU or Universal Postal Union was formed in 1874. It is a specialised agency of UNO that coordinates Postal Policies among member nations of UNO. Heinrich Von Stephan founded UPU which has its headquarters in Bern Switzerland.

Switzerland and UPU issued stamps on 09 Oct 1999 ( World Post Day) and to mark 125th Anniversary of UPU. Two stamps issued by Switzerland are in the shape on an envelope and UPU stamps feature hands and Rainbow.
