President Donald Trump honored Babe Ruth with Presidential Medal of Honor in Nov 2018. The Presidential Medal of Honor is an award bestowed by President of the United States and is – along with Congressional Gold Medal- the highest civilian award of the United States.

George Herman “Babe” Ruth Jr (06 Feb 1895 – 16 Aug 1948) was a Professional Baseball player whose career in Major League Baseball (MLB) lasted 22 seasons (1914-1935). He was nicknamed “Bambino” and “Sultan of Swat” who began his MLB career as a left-handed pitcher for Boston Red Sox but achieved his greatest fame as a outfielder for New York Yankees . He was inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 and was one of its “first five” inaugural member.
