100th Anniversary of Ford Cars -Stamps of Austria – 2003
Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company on 16 Jun 1903. His idea and aim was to make cars affordable for everyone. He made two innovations -First Choice of Black color for legendary Model T . Black dried more quickly than other colors hence cheaper production.
Second,In 1908 Ford was first to use production line thereby starting the age of industrial mass production. With these two he could reduce production costs and make Cars affordable for more people.
The legendary T Model was followed by faster Model A in 1928,launched Taunus in 1948 and then Ford Capri.
Austria issued a Miniature sheet with three stamps to mark centenary of Ford motors on 16 Jun 2003. The Stamps feature
