Teapots on Stamps -Taiwan 1991

Chinese people have known to like Tea from last thousand years. Taiwan (ROC) issued a set of five stamps on Teapots from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) & Ching Dynasty (1644-1911). These stamps were issued 18 Jan 1991. The Teapots featured are.

2 NT$ – Ming Dynasty Teapot . in underglaze blue. It has a bamboo stalk handle.

3 NT$ – Ming Dynasty Lustrous white Teapot. Two creeping dragon figures as handle and spout.

9 NT$ – Ching Dynasty Teapot with Landscape motif. Large mouth for long leaf green tea.

12 NT$ – Ching Dynasty Rectangular Teapot with Passion flower motif. the knob of the lid is in the shape of a ling chih fungus

16 NT$ -Ching Dynasty Rectangular Painted Teapot.
