APS Cover Jan 2019 – Platinum Jubilee – No 9 Squadron Indian Air Force
No 9 Squadron of IAF was formed on 10 Jan 1944 at Lahore. The crest of Squadron features pack of ferocious Wolves and this squadron is known as “Wolf Pack”.It took part in World War II in Burma sector and since then it has taken part in all major conflicts and battles. It has graduated from Hurricanes, Spitfires, GNATs to most modern aircraft now. It received Presidents’ Standards in 2005. It was awarded four Vir Chakras in 1965 operations
