Inaccessible Island Rail on Stamps – Tristan da Cunha 1981.

Inaccessible Island is located in Tristan Archipelago in South Atlantic. Inaccessible Island Rail is a small bird of rail family found in Inaccessible Island. It is the smallest extant flightless bird in the World. It is considered Vulnerable by IUCN. Some 5,600 adult birds exist now.

Tristan da Cunha issued a set of four stamps of 10p each on Inaccessible Island Rail and its habitat.
