Sri Lanka -Thailand Joint issue 2015– Stupa & Pagoda – Miniature Sheet 2015.
Sri Lanka brought out joint issue miniature sheet with Thailand on theme 60 Years of Diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand on 02 Nov 2015. The MS contains two stamps. The Miniature sheet is in the shape of a Stupa
10 Rupees- Jethavana Stupa- This Stupa was built by King Mahasena of Anuradhapura (273-301 AD). It is now located in the ruins of Jetavan Monastery in World Heritage City of Anuradhapura the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. When constructed it stood at 122 metres or 400 feet, it was at that time largest stupa in the world and the third-largest structure in the World. The present height is 71 metres or 233 feet
50 Rupees – Phrapathomchedi Pagoda. It is Buddhist stupa located in a temple in the town centre of Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom Province of Thailand. It is the tallest stupa in Thailand at 120.45 metres. It is believed to have been built around 193 BC by monks sent by King Ashoka during his reign (268-232 BC).

Thailand also issued a Se-tenant pair on same Stupa and Pagoda with a fave value of 3 Baht each.
