Stamps of Nepal on 2008 Beijing Olympics –Nepal 2008
The 2008 Summer Olympics or XXIX Olympics were held in Beijing China from 08 to 24 Aug 2008. Nepal issued a Rupees 15 stamp on 21 Aug 2008 to commemorate the Olympics. A total of 10,942 athletes from 204 Nations participated in 28 Sports, 41 Disciplines and 302 events. President Hu Jintao of China inaugurated the Games. China topped the medals tally with 48 Gold Medals. Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since the 1964 Olympics.
The FDC with stamp is listed. The stamps have been printed in France and print run is One Million.
