International Year of Plant Health – South Korea 2020

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2020 as International Year of Plant Health to raise global awareness on how protecting Plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty , protect environment and boost economic growth.

According to FAO 40% of Crops worldwide are lost due to Pests and Diseases , 220 Billion Dollars due to Plant diseases and 70 Billion Dollars due to plant pests.

South Korea issued a 380 Won stamp on International Year of Plant Health.The Design features People watering  and taking care of plants between colorful forests and Golden Crops. Represents beautiful co-existence between humans and nature.
