Guru Nanak Dev Commemorative Coin – India 2019.

Today we are celebrating 551st Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji . India issued a Rupees 550 coin in 2019 to commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Obverse

This face of the coin bears the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It also bears the Rupee symbol and Denominational value “550” in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

Reverse

This face of the coin bears the Picture of “Gurudwara Shri Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab.” The inscription श्री गुरु नानक देव जी का 550 वां प्रकाश पर्व” in Devanagri script and “550TH PRAKASH UTSAV OF SHRI GURU NANAK DEV JI” in English is written on the top periphery and lower periphery of the coin respectively. The year “1469” and “2019” in International Numeral is flanked at the left and right periphery of the coin.
