World Hindi Day – 10 Jan 2021.
Today is World Hindi Day . Hindi is the third most spoken language in the World after English and mandarin according to UN. The First World Hindi Convention was held in Nagpur from 10-12 Jan 1975. Since then 11 World Hindi Conventions have been held all over the World. The 12th World Hindi Convention is Scheduled to be held in Fiji in 2021. World Hindi Day is held on 10 Jan every year to commemorate the First World Hindi Convention.
The Universities of Washington , Chicago and London offer Courses in Hindi. The Word Hindi got its name from Persian Word Hind meaning Land of Indus River. The language is derived from Sanskrit and is written in Devanagiri Script.
