Gastronomy. D.O.P. Balearic Islands -Spain 2021.
A Protected Designation of Origin is a concept that identifies an original product, from a specific place, whose quality or characteristics are fundamentally due to a particular geographical environment, and whose production phases take place entirely in the defined geographical area. This year, two stamps dedicated to the gastronomy of the Balearic Islands are issued with two of its products distinguished with this denomination.
One of them has the Oliva de Mallorca as its protagonist. The second of the stamps includes an image of another of the islands delicacies, the Mahón Cheese, from Menorca
