European Football Championship

Initially planned for 2020 before being postponed due to COVID-19, the European Football Championship will take place from 11 June to 11 July 2021. For the first time in its history, it will not be organised by a single country, but will take place right across Europe, in a dozen selected host cities. The Stadio Olimpico in Rome will be the venue for the opening match, and the final will be contested at Wembley, in London.

On June 3rd, 2021, one postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Sport. European Football Championship “Euro-2020” has been put into circulation.

The postage stamp with the nominal value of 290 AMD depicts the footballer and the cup of European Football Championship against the background of a stadium tribune. The bottom of the postage stamps depicts the inscription “EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP” in Armenian and English languages.
