About Expo 2020 Dubai

“France, inspiration at the speed of light

The first Universal Exhibition to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, and to welcome as many countries from all over the world with more than 190 participants, this 35th Outstanding Universal Exhibition is taking place in Dubai, from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, around the unifying and ambitious theme: “Connecting minds, Building the future”.

France, whose national history is closely linked to the Universal Exhibitions, is present at this great global meeting. It offers, within the Mobility zone, a responsible and sustainable pavilion thanks to photovoltaic solar tiles which will guarantee virtual autonomy in energy, as well as a garden bordered by endemic species. The France Pavilion is one of the highest in the Expo, and its terrace offers a panoramic view of the entire Expo site, including Al Wasl Square, which is its epicenter.

Built on the architectural theme “Light, Lights”, the France Pavilion offers visitors a unique, unforgettable and enriching experience. Through its participation, France’s ambition is to promote the country internationally and to demonstrate its leading role in the implementation of the sustainable development goals. Its pavilion guarantees the promotion of French talents contributing to human progress and aims to develop France’s attractiveness internationally.

In Dubai, the France Pavilion is the showcase of French audacity, innovation and creation.

Special inks, silver and iridescent, are affixed to surfaces of the French Pavilion, to highlight through a play of shadows and reflections. “

France issued a 1.50 Euro stamp on 21 June 2021 featuring the France Pavillion in Dubai 2020.
