Gold Medalists of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games
On the 29th of November 2021 Latvijas Pasts released a new postage stamp and a cover in honour of the gold medallists of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo: the Latvian national 3×3 basketball team composed of Agnis Čavars, Nauris Miezis, Kārlis Pauls Lasmanis and Edgars Krūmiņš.The print run of the new stamp is 20,000 copies and its face value is €1.00, which corresponds to the postage of letter-post items in the weight class up to 20 grams within Latvia.The release of the stamp is accompanied by the issue of a special cover with a print run of 1,000 copies (price of FDC-EUR 2.00). Printed in sheets of 4, so price of sheet EUR 4.00 The philatelic releases have been designed by the artist Ģirts Grīva, while the photograph used in the design was taken by the photographer Mikus Kļaviņš.
