Gata – Armenian Traditional Cuisine
On September 16th, 2022, Armenia issued a postage stamp dedicated to the theme “Armenian Traditional Cuisine” .
The postage stamp with the nominal value of 380 AMD depicts the Armenian traditional Gata.
Gata is an Armenian pastry with filling made of flour, sugar and butter. Gata is a symbol of family unity and well-being. Armenian families have always been baking the traditional gata, especially on holidays.
