A Special Cover on theme Invention of Khaki Colour was released at Mangaluru on 30th Oct 2022 . Sir John Halier invented the famous “Khaki” colour dye from Indigenous ingredients at Basel Mission Weaving Factory , Balmatta , Mangaluru in 1851. lord Roberts , the then Governor of Madras introduced it as Uniform of British Army.
