2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) – 225th Anniversary -Commemorative Stamp 2023.
A Commemorative Postage Stamp of Rupees Five was released on 24th Feb 2023 at IMA Dehradun to mark 225 Years on 2nd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment of Indian Army. This unit was raised in 1797 as 3rd Battalion Maratha Light Infantry and Converted into Special Forces in 2000. It has won 25 Battle Honours and 5 Theatre honours .
A Two rupee stamp was also released on the Bicentenary of the same Battalion on 07 Sep 1997 when it was 2 PARA (Maratha).
