Bishnupur Gharana also spelt as Vishnupur is a form of singing which follows the tradition of Hindustani music ,one of the two Indian Classical Music forms. It was initiated in Bishnupur (Bankura) ,West Bengal. The name of the town in Bengali language means “City of Vishnu”. Bishnupur Gharana is a popular style of Dhrupad.
