Bilums (Traditional Bags ) – Papua New Guinea 2021
Papua New Guinea issued a Miniature sheet containing four stamps on Bilums or Traditional Bags. Issued in Jun 2021 two stamps are of 1.60 Kin and two stamps of 6.90 Kina.
Part of the traditional weaving these bags were generally made of natural fibres and natural dyes but now these are under threat from synthetic material and urbanisation.
