International Women’s Day 2026
International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8 to honor the achievements and contributions of women in society. It highlights the importance of gender equality, women’s rights, and empowerment. People around the world celebrate this day by appreciating women, organizing events, and spreading awareness about equal opportunities. The day is also recognized globally by the United Nations.
In 1975, the United Nations officially recognized and began celebrating it globally.
