Ingrid Bergman ( 29 Aug 1915- 29 Aug 1982) was a Swedish actress who has acted in a number of European and Hollywood films. She won three Academy Awards, two Primetime Emmy awards, Four Golden Globe awards and a Tony award. She is best known for her role in Casablanca. She won Oscars for the following Films

The USA issued a Forever stamp on 20 Aug 2015 on Ingrid Bergman. It was a Joint issue with Sweden. This issue commemorates 100th Birth Anniversary of Ingrid Bergman.
The United States of America issued a set of two stamps (4c & 8c) on 26 Jan 1961 (India’s Republic Day) on Gandhi as a champion of Liberty. A First Day Cover is listed in which the cancellation also shows a Charkha.

33c – 20th Century Limited – It was called a “National Institution” and the “Most Famous Train in the World“.It catered to business travelers on in superfast 16-hour journey between Chicago & New York. In 1936 its J-3a steam locomotives and Pullman Cars were redesigned.
33c – Hiawatha – Running at 100 miles per hour and connecting Chicago, Milwaukee and twin cities it was known as “The Fastest train in America“.In 1938 its F-7 steam locomotives were designed in multiple colors.
33c – Super Chief – Prefferd train of Hollywoods elite travelling between Chicago and Los Angeles via Albuquerque the Super Chief was known as “Train of Stars” Its unique red and silver warbonnet design pulled luxurious stainless steel cars.
Joint Issue Canada -USA – St Lawrence Seaway 1984.
0n 26 June 1959, the St Lawrence Seaway was officially opened . Present at the dedication ceremonies held at St-Lambert, Quebec was Queen Elisabeth II, Prince Phillip, President Dwight D Eisenhower and Prime Minister John G Diefenbaker.
St Lawrence is a joint Canada-USA project composed of locks, canals, Channels and hydroelectric power dams. it permits ocean-going vessels to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes ofNorth America as far inland as the Western end of Lake Superior. The seaway is named after St Lawrence River which flows from Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean.
Canada and USA issued a stamp each on 26 Jun 1984 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of St Lawrence Seaway. A First Day cover with the Canadian Stamp of 32 cents cancelled at Cornwall and a 20c USA stamp cancelled at New York is listed. The FDC also features photographs of 1959 Inaugural Function
Robert Tyre Jones Jr ( 17 Mar 1902 – 18 Dec 1971) was an Amateur American Golfer who was one of the most influential figures in the history of Golf. He Founded and helped in designing the Augusta Golf Club and Co-Founded the Masters Tournament. He was popularly known as Bobby Jones.
In 1930 he won the ‘Grand Slam” consisting of both Open & Amateur at US & UK Open. The USA issued an 18c stamp in memory of Bobby Jones on 22 Sep 1981.
