Traditional Utensils of Bhutan – Stamps of Bhutan 2017.
Traditional implements and utensils are strong symbols of Bhutanese culture and characterise a unique lifestyle for centuries. In the Kitchen a variety of appliances were used to prepare,serve and store food. They were hand crafted out of natural materials such as bamboo,cane,wood,clay,limestone,brass,copper and bronze. Largely being replaced by modern wares their use is confined to rural parts of Bhutan.
A miniature sheet of six stamps was issued by Bhutan post on 19 Jun 2017 showing traditional utensils of Bhutan. The utensils are Wine container, Teapot,Flour Strainer,Cane Baskets,Rice thresher and Cereal grinder.
