Last Total Solar Eclipse of Twentieth Century – Stamps of Iran 1999

The Last Total Solar Eclipse of Twentieth Century took place on 11 Aug 1999. One of the best places on earth where it was visible remarkably was Tiran In Iran.

Iran issued a strip of Five stamps to  Commemorate this Astronomical delight on 11 Aug 1999. The different phases of Solar eclipse are featured on the stamps as we see the stamps from left to right –

Stamp no 2 – Diamond ring at 2nd Contact

Stamp no 3 – Outer Corona

Stamp no 4 – Final Diamond Ring

Stamp no 5 – Partial Eclipse
