Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism-Bhutan Miniature Sheet 2016.

The Ashtamangala are a sacred suite of Eight auspicious signs endemic to various religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism etc. In Buddhism, these eight symbols of good fortune represent the offerings made by Gods to Shakyamuni Buddha immediately after he attained enlightenment. Tibetan Buddhists use a particular set for use in household and public art.

Bhutan issued a miniature sheet of one stamp of Nu 60 denomination on 16 April 2016 depicting the Tashi Tagye -eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism.
