The USA issued a set of 50 stamps on State Flags of States of the USA on 23 Feb 1976. We are listing them in Alphabetical order of States name. All stamps are 13 cents denomination.
Louisiana State Flag – The First State flag of Louisiana was adopted in 1912. It is modified in 2010. The Flag displays a White Pelican nurturing its young by tearing at its own breast (signified by three drops of blood ) with a white banner below containing the state motto in blue (Union, Justice and Confidence)
A First Day Cover is listed, it shows Kentucky State Flag. It features the First Stars and Stripes.
