Painting of Football match by Nicolas de Stael fetches 20 Million Euros at Auction

A Painting “Parc des Princes” by Nicolas de Stael, a French artist of Russian origin was sold for 20 Million Euros at Christies’s auction in Nov 2019. The painting, in a rich array of colours painted in 1952 depicts an international friendly football match between France and Sweden during the Golden period of French football players. Parc des Princes was the name of the stadium and now hosts the Paris Saint-Germain Club.
