Stamps on Strategic Projects -UAE 2015.
UAE – Emirates Post issued four 1 AED Se-tenant stamps on Strategic Projects of President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al. The Projects are
Masdar City – Located about 17 Kms from Abu Dhabi near the Airport , Masdar City is being built by Masdar , a subsidiary of Mubadala development Company. the city is designed as hub of cleantech companies and relies on Solar Power and other renewable energy sources.
Etihad Rail – Established in 2009. It is a 1200 km long rail network from UAE to KSA via Ghuweifat. The First Stage was a joint venture Etihad Rail and Deutsche Bahn. The first stage from Shah-Habshan- Ruwais is operational. The 264 km is used from transportation of granulated sulphur from Shah to Habshan and then for exports to Ruwais.
