The FIFA U-20 World Cup is a biennial football World Championships organised by FIFA for U-20 male players. It was first held in 1977 in Tunisia. Until 2005 it was known as FIFA World Youth Championships.
The 22nd edition of FIFA U-20 World Cup will be held in Poland from 23 May to 15 Jun 2019. The 2017 edition held in South Korea and England won the Cup beating Venezuela in the Finals.
The 2003 edition was held in UAE and was known as FIFA World Youth Championships. EMIRATES 2003 was won by Brazil defeating Spain 1-0 in the Finals. It was the 14th edition of the Cup.
United Arab Emirates released a Postage stamp on 09 Sep 2003 to commemorate this event.
The FIFA Club World Cup was first contested in 2000. It was not held between 2001 and 2004. Since 2005 it has been held every year and hosted by Brazil , Japan ,UAE and Morocco .
The Winners of AFC Champions League (Asia) ,CAF Champions League (Africa),CONCACAF Champions League (North America),Copa Libertados (South America),OFC Champions League (Oceania) & UEFA Champions League (Europe) along with host nations national champions participate in a straight knock-out tournament. Spain’s Real Madrid beat Brazil’s Gremio 1-0 in the 2017 edition to win the Cup.
United Arab Emirates issued a set of two stamps to commemorate the 2009 Edition held in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. The stamps were issued on 19 Dec 2009.
The 2018 edition is scheduled to be held in United Arab Emirates from 12 Dec to 22 Dec 2018 .
The Arabian Gulf Cup Football also called Gulf Cup is a biennial Football Competition for the Arab states of Persian Gulf and Yemen. It was first held in 1970 which was won by Kuwait. The 23rd edition was held in Dec 17 -Jan 18 in Kuwait.
The 18th Arabian Gulf Cup was held in UAE and won by UAE. A set of two stamps was issued by UAE on 09 May 2007.
