Traditional Food – Lebanon 2020.

Lebanon issued a strip of Four stamps on the theme Traditional Gastronomy on 17 Jul 2020. All stamps are of 1000 Lebanese Pound Denomination and Print quantity is 12,500.

The Dishes featured are Hummus , Kibbeh , Tabbouleh & Manousheh

Hummus – It is a middle eastern dip or savory dish made from cooked mashed chickpeas blended with Tahini , Lemon Juice and garlic. The standard garnishing includes olive oil, whole chickpeas ,parsley & paprika. It is eaten as a dip with Pita bread.


Kibbeh – Dish made of spiced ground meat and grain. Usually bulgur wheat is pounded with meat into a fine paste and formed into into balls with toasted pine nuts and spices
